THUNDER TEA RICE X THUNDER SPIZE

Thunder Tea Rice Pte. Ltd. was founded in 2002 by the founders, 鈺源 Yù yuán, after they discovered the traditional Hakka dish, Lei Cha Fan 擂茶饭. The founders were so astonished by the dish that they named their brand "Thunder Tea Rice" to reflect the jolt of flavor they experienced, as they interpreted as a lightning shock for the tastebuds. However, the founders were criticised for their lack of understanding of Chinese characters when they first started. Leading to the decision to establish a brand, the founders beautify the traditional dish, and reintroduce and educate the ones traditional and healthy dish Hakka Lei Cha Fan 擂茶饭, also now known as "Thunder Tea Rice", to their customers.
